ACR adds Ignacio "Nacho" Barbero to its Team Pro

The addition of Argentine poker pro Jose Ignacio "Nacho" Barbero strengthened and increased the Team Pro lineup at Americas Cardroom.

ACR adds Ignacio

Nacho, a former top-ranked Magic: The Gathering player, switched to poker and in 2010 won two Latin American Poker Tour championships in the space of 100 days, boosting his fortune by more than $500,000. He won another $870,082 at a European Poker Tour High Roller in London four months later.

Following that, there were consistent cashes, which peaked at the 2022 WSOP when Barbero won his first gold bracelet in the $7,000 NLHE Super Turbo Bounty event for $587,520. In order to find more of this type of jewelry, he will be patched up in the ACR fashion for the 2023 WSOP.

Barbero's calling card is a resume that includes dominating live tournament action to the tune of $8.7 million in lifetime cashes. With plenty of action still remaining in the April 1-20 High Five Tournament Series, ACR boss Phil Nagy called Nacho and added him to the team.

In 2023, Nacho is having a great time. His career's greatest payday, a staggering $1,551,300, came from placing fourth in the $25K Main Event at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure in the Bahamas.

Last month, the first-place prize in a $15K tournament in the Triton Super High Roller Series in Vietnam was worth $60,000. A few days later, the Argentinian finished in second place for $460,000 in a $25K buy-in tournament.

The next stop was Las Vegas and the PokerGo Tour, where a second-place finish in the $10K PGT PLO Series would earn a $234,000 payoff. The US Poker Open saw Barbero make three final tables, with his best result being a second-place finish in a $10K worth $168,000 in total.

At this moment, Nacho is deserving of an ACR sponsorship, especially in light of the fact that he is one of the most well-known poker athletes in Latin America.

“I’m thrilled to join the ACR Team,” Barbero said. “I’m excited to be representing a site that loves poker as much as I do and puts the players first." "I look forward to the opportunity of introducing ACR into new markets and helping grow it even more into a worldwide brand,” Barbero added.
