Caribbean Poker Party 2020 will be held online on Nov. 15 - 24

PartyPoker's famous event Caribbean Poker Party, will have to be online this year. According to consultant Rob Yong's announcement, the traditional venue Baha Mar in Bahamas will not reopen in time for the live event due to the coronavirus pandemic and therefore it will occur as an online event in mid to late November 2020.

Caribbean Poker Party (CPP) is Party Poker's traditional annual stop at the paradisiacal island nation of the Bahamas. This year, however, due to the ongoing pandemic of the coronavirus, the Baha Mar which usually hosts the event is still closed and therefore PartyPoker decided to have CPP in an online version or this year only. The buy-in for the event is $ 5 300 and the GTD prize is $ 5 million.

This is all according to Rob Yong's announcement on his Twitter account. Also according to Rob, Party Poker's passport holders can buy-in without paying any rake and players who won seats and promos can either use them for CPP online, MILLIONS online or keep them for PartyPoker's live events as soon as the action returns to normal, whenever that happens.

CPP 2020's schedule

It is already possible to register for the Main Event in PartyPoker's lobby. Day 1 A will be on Nov. 15 and Day 1 B is scheduled for Sunday Nov. 22. The next day, Monday Nov. 23 will be CPP's Day 2 and finally on Nov. 24 there will be the much awaited Final Table when the Event's winner will be known. The full CPP schedule is still not published. Also already announced and soon to come are the satellite tournaments, a must in every Party Poker's Events, with the possibility to win seats for the Main Event for a wide range of buy-ins.
