A recent announcement, made on GGPoker's official Twitter profile (@ggpoker), says that starting next month (June 1st, 2022), GGPoker's Discord server will be shut down. The GGPoker Support Team will be moving to Reddit instead, including all current staff members and moderators.
"Something very exciting about to happen over here … JOIN THE FUN" - says GG's official tweet.
“We would like to thank you all for the opportunity to create the fun and engaging community that this Discord server has become, and we hope you move forward with us on this journey to continue providing our players with top-tier support & community content” - says another message on GGPoker's soon to be deactivated Discord server.
The community has generally received the moving, although some questioned if GGPoker Platinum members will lose their exclusive support, currently on Discord, since all Reddit messages are public. For these cases, the operator assures players that, for private messages and issues, their e-mail channel will still be open and responsive in a matter of minutes. GG also assures that Reddit will be monitored 24/7 and the same level of communication and responsiveness that their Discord server currently has will be maintained.
