Popular online casino provider Microgaming has announced this week that it is going to add poker to its portfolio of online games. According to Microgaming, they will offer a big variety of poker games and options to operators worldwide. This all comes only a couple of months after Microgaming Poker Network, a brand that operated for more than 16 years, was closed.
One of the first poker games to be launched is probably the most iconic: Hold'Em Poker. With that option, a game that offers an immersive poker environment will become available to players. It will be launched next month (Dec 1) for a few special customers and then followed by a complete global launch the next week (Dec 9). Next, Lucky Showdown follows in the near future. It will also introduce a random prize pool wheel mechanic and progressive jackpot for an added reward incentive to continuous play.
“Hold’em Poker will add a new dimension to our online casino vertical, introducing a range of fun and exciting poker games to our platform,” commented John Colleman, CEO of Microgaming, about the added content.
Besides game and content creation, Microgaming is also currently very active in the pursuit of partnership deals. Last month, the brand firmed a deal with BTG (Big Time Gaming). In their deal, Megaways mechanic of BTG will be used by Microgaming for the creation of many new games and titles.
