Why Doyle Brunson might not give autographs anymore

When many "fans" tried to sell his autograph on the e-commerce website, the 10-time World Series of Poker (WSOP) bracelet winner Doyle Brunson became upset. He therefore threatened to cease signing for his fans, which was understandable.

A check of eBay reveals that there are over 70 objects, including playing cards and photos, up for sale that include Brunson's hand-signed autograph. Depending on the item, asking prices range from $37 to $400. Those are undoubtedly only the for-sale pricing, not the sold prices.

"I just went to e-bay and saw where most of the autographs i've signed are on sale..every letter says they are my biggest fan and want to hang the 2 pictures on their wall. I won't be signing any more!!

Poker fans on Twitter noted that Brunson's future refusal to sign autographs will increase the value of the present eBay auctions – a straightforward supply and demand principle. On eBay, some of the more expensive Brunson autographs have even undergone grading and authentication.
