WPT500 Mexico City, which is exclusively open to players with a WPT Global account, is an upcoming poker event that will take place at the Fronton in Mexico City from May 30-31, 2023, and has a $550 buy-in with a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool. The players will start with 30,000 chips, and the blinds and antes start at 100/100/100a. Day 1 will play down to the money, which is approximately 12.5% of the field, with play resuming on Day 2 with the addition of WPT Global players that have navigated their way through online Day 1s.

WPT Global customers can participate in the WPT500 Mexico City Day 1s online from their homes. The online Day 1s provide the flexibility to grind out as many Day 1s as one wishes and only make the trip to Mexico City if they make it to Day 2. Players that make it through to Day 2 from an online Day 1 receive $1,000 into their WPT Global account for travel expenses. Additionally, if a player progresses to Day 2 more than once, they will sit down with their largest stack, and their other smaller stacks will be forfeited but paid out as a min-cash.

The WPT Mystery Bounty event will take place on the same days as the WPT500 Mexico City. The event costs $5,000 to enter, and WPT Global is adding $50,000 worth of mystery bounties to the prize pool.
