CoinPoker Launches K-Poker

The new game joins a growing CoinPoker ecosystem that already includes regular cash games, VIP Arena, All-In or Fold and the ongoing Global Online Poker Championship.

How K-Poker Works

K-Poker uses standard Texas Hold’em hand rankings and betting streets, but changes several elements of the structure to create a faster game.

All seven players post a 1 BB ante before every hand, while the small blind and big blind are also set at 1 BB. Players can buy in for between 50 BB and 100 BB.

The format also removes the traditional bet slider. Instead, players choose between five preset bet sizes: 25% of the pot, 50% of the pot, pot, 200% of the pot or all-in.

Every decision must be made within 10 seconds, creating a much faster pace than a conventional cash game.

The combination of antes and a short decision clock should produce more action and more hands per hour, while the familiar Hold’em structure means players do not have to learn a completely new variant.
