CoinPoker Sees $1.1 Million Pot

CoinPoker has once again delivered the kind of cash-game action that usually belongs to the biggest live poker rooms in the world.

A $1.1 million pot was recently played at CoinPoker's $1,000/$2,000 tables, highlighting the extraordinary stakes now available on the crypto poker site.

The action came during CoinPoker's ongoing Global Online Poker Championship, which has brought major attention to the platform's tournament offering. But while the GOPC is competing with established poker rooms on the MTT front, CoinPoker's biggest reputation may currently be coming from somewhere else: nosebleed cash games.

$1.1 Million Pot at $1K/$2K

The seven-figure pot came during a session involving newcomer BTCDemon, who reportedly turned an $80,000 starting stack into around $1.5 million during the session.

BTCDemon was playing against high-stakes regulars including Owen "PR0DIGY" Messere and Chris "Lukabrate" Nguyen as the table produced multiple six-figure pots.

Eventually, the action produced something even more unusual: a pot worth approximately $1.1 million, or around 555 big blinds.

The hand was won despite the eventual winner having only 27.84% equity when the money went in, making the seven-figure result an especially dramatic example of the swings possible at these stakes.

For online poker, pots of this size remain extremely rare. On CoinPoker, however, the appearance of million-dollar pots is becoming less surprising.

Jared Bleznick Returns to the High-Stakes Tables

The action has also welcomed back one of the players most closely associated with CoinPoker's high-stakes scene: Jared Bleznick.

Bleznick became one of the platform's most recognizable nosebleed players during a major run in the PLO games last year, building seven-figure stacks and participating in some enormous pots.

After stepping away from the online tables for a period, Bleznick is now back in the high-stakes PLO action.

His return has already attracted plenty of attention from poker fans and railbirds, with high-stakes streamer Bobby James covering the action on his YouTube channel.

Bleznick's presence adds another recognizable name to a cash-game ecosystem that is increasingly attracting serious high-stakes players.

CoinPoker Is Becoming a Home for Nosebleed Cash Games

CoinPoker is still the newer player when compared with the established giants of online tournament poker.

The room's Global Online Poker Championship shows that it is increasingly willing to compete for MTT players, with major guarantees and a large tournament schedule.

But the cash-game picture is different.

At the highest stakes, CoinPoker has developed a reputation as one of the most active destinations for nosebleed online poker. Games at $200/$400, $500/$1,000 and even $1,000/$2,000 have been producing enormous pots, attracting both established high-stakes professionals and newer players looking to take a shot.

That creates an interesting dynamic for the site. The players at the tables appear happy with the action, while the growing number of spectators following the games provides CoinPoker with something increasingly valuable: attention from the wider poker community.
