Until October 1, 2025, GGPoker is giving previously banned players a chance to appeal their cases and potentially return to the world’s largest poker room.

According to GGPoker’s official blog, the initiative is aimed at “repentant poker players” who wish to return to the tables with a renewed commitment to fair play. Applicants must email security@ggnetwork.com
with the subject line Olive Branch Application and provide:
- Username
- Full legal name
- A detailed explanation of why they are requesting reinstatement
- Identity and address verification documents
- A selfie holding the same identification document
All applications will be reviewed individually, with decisions communicated by November 1, 2025.
This isn’t the first time GGPoker has offered amnesty. Similar programs were run in 2020 and 2022, coinciding with major online series on the site. In fact, after mass bannings in 2020, many players who were punished for using preflop charts — a practice forbidden on GG but allowed elsewhere — had their accounts restored during these windows.
The site has been clear, however, that serious violations of security or fair play rules will not be forgiven, meaning cheaters and multi-accounters like Ali Imsirovic are unlikely to return. Still, for others with less severe infractions — like Tom Santern, who famously played a GGMillion$ final table from France under questionable circumstances — the Olive Branch could mean a real shot at reinstatement.
The timing is noteworthy. As with past amnesty initiatives, this one runs in parallel with the WSOP Online series, a period when GGPoker consistently attracts record-breaking fields. While skeptics might see Olive Branch as a numbers-boosting strategy, the site frames it as a recognition that “people, like poker itself, are capable of change.”
Whether this is truly about forgiveness or just about filling lobbies, one thing is clear: banned players now have a window to get back into the world’s largest online poker pool — if they’re willing to own up to the past.
GGPoker is the world’s largest online poker site, known for hosting the record-breaking WSOP Online series and offering some of the most innovative formats in the industry. With a strong focus on security, ecology, and fairness, GGPoker has built a reputation as both player-friendly and uncompromising when it comes to protecting the integrity of the game.
