PartyPoker Mandatory Screen Name Change to Increase Security

In an effort to protect the game safety and fairness, PartyPoker asks all players to change screen names once again. This way, tracking software will not be able to collect information against players and use it against them. The change comes right before the start of the WPT online. PartyPoker Mandatory Screen Name Change

PartyPoker STOPPED
  • Rakeback up to 60%
  • Deposit bonus 30$

+ traffic on all limits
+ large cashback
+ very good MTT tournaments
- No HUD since June 2019
- no HU on microstakes

Although PartyPoker already forbids tracking software that collect information about player's behavior and seating bots that track weak players, the changing of the screen name is another tactic to further increase security in the poker room. This is not the first time PartyPoker asks this. If all players change their names regularly, these programs become ineffective.

"At partypoker, we remain committed to our promise to keep the game fair and safe for all our players and asking players to change their aliases is one of the important measures that will help us do this.” said PartyPoker director.

This change comes right before one the biggest events in online poker, the WPT Online starting tomorrow (on May 14) and could be one of the reasons the starting date of the event was sightly delayed, so that there is more time to fully implement the change.
