The tournament attracted a massive field of 7,309 entries, generating a prize pool of $10.4 million and comfortably surpassing its advertised $10 million guarantee. With more than 700 players returning for Day 2 and some of the biggest names in online poker making deep runs, the event delivered exactly the kind of high-stakes action that has become synonymous with GGPoker.

$10.4 Million Prize Pool Creates Seven-Figure Payouts

Every player reaching Day 2 was guaranteed at least $3,087, but the real prizes were reserved for the final table.

Among the notable names who cashed but fell short of the final nine were poker stars such as Lex Veldhuis, Martin Jacobson, Espen Jørstad, and Brazilian pro Kelvin Kerber.

Once the tournament reached the final table, the payouts became enormous:
Brazilian player Rafael Loiola was the first elimination at the final table, securing $174,213. As players continued to fall, the payouts quickly escalated into life-changing territory.

When Finland's "SIR NAPKINS" exited in fourth place for $638,653, the remaining three players agreed to a deal that guaranteed each of them a payout exceeding $1 million.

Ukraine's "filthiest" ultimately received the largest payout of the tournament, collecting more than $1.1 million despite finishing third after the deal.

The title eventually came down to a heads-up battle between Serbia's "Lord Given" and Finland's "Max Rotko." Lord Given emerged victorious, claiming the championship and more than $1.09 million, while Rotko took home slightly more thanks to the agreed payout structure.

A Backer Scores Six Figures Without Playing

One of the more interesting stories from the event involved Finnish poker professional Elias Suhonen.

Using GGPoker's integrated staking platform, Suhonen purchased 10% of Max Rotko's action before the tournament. When Rotko finished runner-up, that investment translated into a payout worth approximately $109,000.

It's another example of how GGPoker's staking system allows players and investors alike to participate in major tournament scores.

GG World Festival Still Has Millions Up for Grabs

While the $1,500 GG World Championship has concluded, the GG World Festival is far from over.

The series continues through June 9 and remains one of the largest online poker festivals ever hosted, featuring hundreds of events and a combined $300 million in guaranteed prize pools.

One event still attracting significant attention is the GGWF Mystery Closer. The tournament carries a $5 million guarantee and features massive mystery bounties that come into play once players reach the money.

For tournament grinders, recreational players, and bounty hunters alike, there are still plenty of opportunities to secure a major score before the festival wraps up.
