Venom PKO on ACR kicks off on October 20th

The newest iteration of The Venom PKO tournament on Americas Cardroom kicks begins on October 20th! In this exciting tournament format, players are rewarded for eliminating another player from the tournament, but the bounty over the player's own head increases as well. The Venom PKO event is being held by Americas Cardroom (part of the Winning Poker Network, same as PokerKing, Black Chip Poker, and YaPoker) for the fifth time in the history of the website.

The event starts on Thursday, October 20 with Flight 1A and continues through the next three opening flights before survivors move on to Day 2 and beyond. After the prize pool and rewards are totaled, those survivors will compete for prize money that will most likely range from $800,000 to $1 million for first place.

How do PKO tournamens work?

$5 would go to the prize pool and $5 would go to the bounty in a $10 PKO event. However, when you eliminate someone from the tournament, you only receive $2.50 instead of the full $5. Your bounty is now worth $7.50 after adding the additional $2.50.

If someone does take you out, the procedure is repeated. Half of the current bounty ($3.75) will be theirs to keep, and the remaining ($3.75) will be added to their head.

A single player's bounty may even exceed the remaining prize money towards the end of a tournament, making the last table a highly exciting place to be. Imagine the potential prize pool for the $5 million Venom PKO!
